Location

Chalet Piton, Chandon

Before skiing was invented there were 13 villages in the Meribel valley. Chandon was first recorded 900 years ago and sits just below the resort town of Meribel and above the valley 'capital' les Allues. There are less than 40 properties in the village, the majority are over 100 years old. Chalet Piton was converted from an ancient farmhouse in the 90s and is now 5 apartments, the Penthouse is (of course) the top apartment. Being directly under the roof, and partly in the eaves, the ceiling varies from below head-height to over 5 metres. Throughout there are exposed 200 year old beams from the original farmhouse. The picture above is our view.
